Alex LaRosa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Clinician at the agency. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut in 2014 and a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut in 2019.
Alex completed a clinical internship at Southern Connecticut State University Counseling Services where he conducted initial intakes and risk assessments, developed individualized treatment plans, cofacilitated psychoeducational groups and participated in outreach programs to raise awareness about mental health. During this time, Alex completed the Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk training. He also completed a clinical internship at The Connection, Inc. Park Street Inn Residential Living Center where he provided individual and group counseling sessions while utilizing evidence-based programs with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, medical practitioners, and case managers.
Alex worked as an Intake Support Specialist at Clifford Beers Clinic in New Haven, Connecticut where he provided initial assessments and collaborated with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate care for children and families.
Alex works with children, adolescents and adults with mental health and substance use diagnoses.
