Tanesha Hopson is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate and Clinician at the agency.  She is earned a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky in 1994.

Tanesha worked as a Juvenile Service Youth Worker from 1994 to 1995 at the Indiana Department of Juvenile Justice where she monitored and ensured the safety of youth in a residential setting; from 1995 to 1999 she was a Juvenile Service Probation Officer, responsible for case management and counseling services for youth in detention.  She was a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide at Washington County Middle School from 2000 to 2001.  Tanesha worked at Care Academy from 2001 to 2002 as a Youth Worker where she trained new youth workers and supervised female residents.  From 2005 to 2007, she worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Juvenile Services Worker with youth who were incarcerated or on probation in Nelson, Marion and Washington counties, and as a Juvenile Services Specialist and Acting Supervisor from 2007 to 2010, interpreting policy and overseeing training of Juvenile Service Workers.  In this capacity, she coordinated the establishment of treatment plans, reviewed case audits and acted as liaison for the district and circuit courts.  She was the Lead Residential Administrator from 2010 to 2013 at Teen Challenge Residential Girls Home, where she provided case management and counseling, and supervised staff.  Tanesha worked for the Department of Corrections as a Probation and Parole Officer II from 2012 to 2017 and a Probation and Parole Unit Supervisor from 2017 to 2018.  From 2018 to 2019, she worked in the Waterbury Public Schools as a Substitute Teacher.  Tanesha currently works as a Workforce Specialist at the Workplace, where she provides career planning and assessments for re-entry clients in a job readiness program.

Tanesha works with children, adolescents and adults at the agency that present with mental health and substance use issues.
